The Mystery of Vincent Van Gone It Has Been Four Years, Since Vincent, Landed On The Carolina Shores. The Trek Was Long And Arduous, As He Made His Way, From The Southern Regions, Of France. The Musical Scene In Vincentiluvuville, Had Become Jaded And He, Longed To Make His Way To America. Vincent Believed It Was Time, To Bring THE ART OF ROCK & ROLL, To The Musical Mecca of Myrtle Beach. Though The Seas Were Fraught With Peril, He Sailed On, With His Daring, Musical Crew. After Weeks On The High Seas, They Finally Approached The Carolina Coast. Suddenly, A Vision Of Blackbeards' Ghost, Shouted Out, Turn Ye Back, Turn Ye Back! These Waters Be Muddy From The Blood And Bones Of Many Rock & Rollers, Who Have Dared To Reach The Shore. Vincent Just Smiled And Played A Three Chord Song, As The Crew Began To Sing, YOU CAN TANGO, YOU CAN MAMBO, YOU CAN DISCO, YOU CAN PLAY PIANO, BUT, I WAS BORN TO ROCK, BABY TILL THE SUN GOES DOWN, THE SUN GOES DOWN! They Kept On Rockin', Out Under The Stars And All Of A Sudden, There Were 6 Tiki Bars! Mike Sang Out, IT'LL BE ALRIGHT, I'LL BE YOUR ROCKER, IF YOU'LL BE MY ROLLER TONIGHT!! Willies' Guitar Cut Through The Air, All Of The Birds Were Shakin' Their Hair. Hands Were Clappin', Feet Were Movin', The Crowd Was Swayin', Everyone Was Groovin'. Dave & Ed Laying The Foundation, While Mike Was Singing About The United Nations. Vincent Was Chillin' With Captain Morgan In Hand, Asking Some Blonde, What D'ya Think Of The Band? She Smiled & Said Awesome, Just Open Your Ears. Vincent Laughed As He Poured Her A Beer. Then She Grabbed Him & They Started To Dance. He Said, Let Me Show Ya, How We Do It In France! He Gave Her A Kiss, Took Her By The Hand, Started Movin' And Groovin' All Over The Sand. The Crowd Went Wild, They Just Let It Fly, As The Band Was Tearing Into 8 Miles High! Vincent Was Smiling, From Ear To Ear, She Was Shakin' It Down As The Crowd Just Cheered. He Said What's Your Name? My Mom Says Lazy, Vince Just Laughed And Said I'll Call You Crazy. Next Thing You Know, They Were Hand In Hand, Slippin' Into The Night, Strolling Down The Strand. Mike Gave A Shout, Look Out For The Weeds, As The Band Tore Into, Some Dirty Deeds! When The Song Was Over, The Birds Kept Singin' & Asked The Boys, If They'd Like To Go Swimmin'? Mike Said Ladies, We're New To This Town,How About, You Just Show Us Around? They Started To Laugh And Said Alright. It's The Least We Can Do, Cause Your Music Is So Tight. Ed Spoke Up And Said What About Vince? The Birds Started Giggling And Said He's Such A Prince. Mike Just Laughed And Said Don't Be Silly, By The Way,This Is Ed,Dave & Willie. The Pretty, Young Redbird Said Here's The Limo, Tell Us Boys, Did You Bring A Demo? Mike Slipped Her A Disc & She Slid It Right In,Then Shouted Out, Let The Party Begin! The Limo Sped Off, With A Powerful Force, Headed To A Club, Called The Rockin' Horse. The Driver Pulled In And Said, They Need A Band. The Boys Just Laughed & Said We'll Do What We Can. Sixty Minutes Later, They Were Wailing Away. The Birds Were Screamin' Love's The Price You Pay! The Crowd Was Swaying, Out On The Floor & When The Music Was Over, They Were Shouting For More. When The Boys Broke Into Whole Lotta Love, The Redbird Cooed, It's Never Enough! She Started Dancing, Moving With The Beat, Whirlin'& Twirlin', Like A Dervish In Heat. The Crowd Went Loco, Loco & Wild. She Winked At The Boys & They Just Smiled! Mike Blew Her A Kiss, Said This Song's For You, As The Band Started Playing, My Lady Blue. The Dance Floor Was Packed, What A Beautiful Scene, The Bartender Sara, Said It's Just Like A Dream. I Don't Know Where They Came From, But, This Band's Number One. The Boys Took A Break And A Telephone Chimed, Ed Said Hey, Guess Who's On The Line? He Switched It To Speaker And Vince Came On, Hey There Boys, I Hear You're Rockin' It Down! Everyone Shouted, Wish You Were Here, Vince Said Thanks, How Cold Is The Beer? Then In The Background, A Sweet Voice, Cooed, Honey, Vince Said Boys, It's Not All About The Money! The Boys Just Laughed And Said, You Ought To Know! The Soft Voice Oozed, Honey It's Time To Go. Mike Said Honey, You Are The Dream, Hop Up Here And Enjoy The Scene. He Helped Her On Stage & She Started Shakin', Oblivious To, All The Hearts She Was Breakin'. The Guys In The Crowd Were Rolling Their Eyes, The Way She Shook, Just Hypnotized! Tossin' Her Hair To Left & Right, Everyone Was Cheering, What A Hell Of A Sight. She Was Moving In Ways The Ocean Couldn't, Some Said She'd Break, Others Said She Wouldn't. When The Song Was Over, The Crowd Exploded & The Lights Went Out As The Circuits Overloaded. When The Power Came Back, The Band Played On & They All Wondered Where The Honey Had Gone! The Boys Didn't Care & Ripped Some Zeppelin, Willie Flashed His Axe, Like A Deadly Weapon. Tearin' It Up, Layin' It Down, Everyone Said You're The Best In Town! A brunette beauty started shakin' her action, eyes were poppin' and cameras were flashin'! All of a sudden, as the boys took a break, a limo rolled up, with out of state plates. Out stepped a man dressed in fur, said I'm lookin' for the band that's causing this stir! Everyone pointed, up to the stage, Vincent Van Gone is the cause of the rage. He strolled on up, extended his hand, said I can help you boys, to understand. Understand what? Mike said with a grin. I hear you're still running, on cheap wine & gin. Hey everyone, meet Motor City Mick. He oozes like oil, but twice as slick! The big man laughed, said what a long time ago. I've changed my ways & I'm rolling in dough. Mike said man, you'll never change. Always scheming & slightly deranged! He said I don't care, as hands they shook. I got the action, cause I wrote the book. I can take you up north, to the Detroit Scene. In a year or two, you'll be rolling in green. Give me a chance to fine tune your crew. Ed said Mick, we've been warned about you. How you fleece them, with a fine tooth comb, Willie & Dave said have a safe trip home, as for the band we'll go it alone. Mick said, it was worth a try, shook everyones hand & said I got to fly!!! The band went back for one last jam, everybody was shouting, you're the best in the land. When the music was over, they cut out the lights & the crowd drifted out, into the night. Someone shouted, you're a helluva band. Go to Surfside, check out Neal and Pams. The very next day, Mike took his advice, there he met Betty and rolled the dice. She liked his approach & what he had to say. So she signed the boys for Valentines Day. The band took the stage on that Friday night, looking to tear it up and do it right. Kicking it off with some ZZ Top, they kept it rocking, rocking non-stop. Some Robert Palmer, Bad Company too, the dance floor was rockin', girls kicking off their shoes. The floor was packed. The crowd was flowin' & like the Energizer Dude, the band kept on going! At the end of the night, when the encore was done, Betty said guys, you're a whole lotta fun. I want you for Bike Week & whenever you can.
